Thomas Varghese has a MS Degree in Microbiology and a diploma in Long Term Care Health Planning and Administration. He is a licensed Administrator in Texas and he has been in healthcare management and allied fields for over twenty-one years working in the multiple senior positions, both nationally and internationally. His multi-facility management experience includes Home Health, Independent Living, Assisting Living, Diagnostic Medical Equipment and Pharmaceutical marketing. His expertise is in the areas of operational management and new business development, with special emphasis on organizational change, business development and acquisition. His background and training gives him a deep understanding of healthcare providers, financiers, suppliers, insurers and corporate/clinical clients. He currently oversees the operations of KCA Senior Living Communities near Royse City, Texas.
Thomas has been a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators since 2011. He is actively involved in Texas chapter and has been a part of several committees at the national level. An involved community member, he serves on the boards of several other local entities. His mission is to help advance chapter as a leading forum for member education, development and exchange of ideas relating to various aspects of long term care administration.
Stephen Ritchey is licensed in Texas as an Administrator, completed the Assisted Living Manager’s course, and is a Texas LNFA Preceptor. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of La Verne, California and Bachelors in Engineering from Oregon State University in Corvallis.
Stephen has been an administrator since 2008. He started his Long Term Care career as a HR Director with Cherry Hill Manor. He was Runner Up for “Administrator of the Year and Facility of the Year – 2010” with Covenant Dove among its fifty-nine (59) buildings in thirteen (13) states.
Stephen is also a Navy Retiree, having served in Surface ships as an Engineering Officer, Navigation officer, and Ships Executive officer.
Peter Hayden has been a member of the College since 2001. A licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the states of Texas, Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee, he earned his BBA degree from Tampa College.
Peter’s experience in the health care field spans 32 years. He is currently with Sava Senior Care Consulting as a District Director of Operations with oversight responsibility for eight facilities in Houston,Texas. Peter’s previous experience includes leadership positions with StoneGate Senior Living as a Regional Director in East Texas for six years, Vanguard Healthcare Services, Brentwood, TN as Director of Operations over twelve nursing centers and a long term care pharmacy for eight years. Regional Director of Operations for Harborside Healthcare, Boston, MA, New Care Health Corporation, Atlanta, GA, Horizon Facilities Management, Denton, TX, Mariner Health Group, Dallas Texas, Community Care of America, Naples, FL and Medical Facilities of America, Roanoke, VA.
Peter strongly believes that the College is a high quality organization that represents the profession with exceptional talent and professionalism, and that the resources provided by the College were invaluable in helping him in his personal and professional growth. Peter enjoys golf, running and exercise as well as traveling and exploring new destinations. He resides in Richmond, Texas with his wife Karen and two shelter dogs, Brenna (Dachshund) and Briley (English Terrier).
Dr. Mike Mileski, DC, MPH, MSHEd, LNFA
Dr. Mileski received his Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas, his Masters of Public Health with concentration in Epidemiology and his Masters of Science in Higher Education both from Kaplan University in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Mileski has nearly twenty years of healthcare administrative experience. Not only has he worked in and out of nursing homes and healthcare facilities across the United States, but he has provided consulting services, litigation support, new construction and remodeling supervision, and a myriad of other support services to healthcare over the years. He has served as an Administrator, Regional Director of Operations, Vice President, Regional Director of Finance, Consultant, Troubleshooter, and various other positions in healthcare.
Currently, Dr. Mileski serves as an Assistant Professor at Texas State University in the Healthcare Administration program. He also serves Midland College as the Academic Preceptor for the Long Term Care Administration program. During his time as an Academic Preceptor, Dr. Mileski has precepted over 185 future administrators.
